Daniel Ros (project conductor)
Daniel Ros is a highly talented conductor whose career has grown significantly in recent years. In 2024, he was appointed chief conductor of Leiden Sinfonietta and was assistant conductor at Opera Zuid. He is also artistic director of the Harmonix Orchestra (HXO), which he founded. Other orchestras he has conducted include the Berliner Symphoniker, the Milan Symphony Orchestra and Sinfonia Rotterdam. His performances have taken place in prestigious venues such as the Sala Mozart in Zaragoza and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.
Daniel regularly collaborates with SOR.
Daniel studied with great masters such as Miguel Ángel Gómez-Martínez and Cristóbal Soler and completed his master's degree in orchestral conducting at Codarts, Rotterdam, where he studied with Hans Leenders and Sander Teepen. In 2024, he reached the semi-finals of the XIII Premio Cantelli in Milan, and in 2021 and 2023, he won the AESDO Special Prize and second prize respectively at the International Conducting Competition “Llíria, City of Music”.
Upcoming performances will take him to venues in Spain, Italy, the Netherlands and Germany.
